Gillespie County Fair 2022
Join us for the 134th Gillespie County Fair on August 25 – 28, 2022 at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds. As the oldest consecutive annual county fair in Texas, this family-friendly event has something for everyone. Enjoy all the county fair classics – arts and crafts vendors, livestock and household skills exhibits, a Gillespie County Fair Queen, antique tractor show, concerts, a carnival, live pari-mutuel horse racing and all of the fair food-on-a-stick you could ask for!
Experience the Gillespie County Fair
The Gillespie County Fair kicks off at 5 pm on Thursday, August 25 with free admission (not including the carnival and midway). Enjoy your favorite fair food and check out the judging results for the agriculture and household skills competitions. Stay for great Tejano music from Erik Y Massores starting at 7 pm.
Set up your chairs along Main Street in Fredericksburg by 10 am on Friday, August 26, to catch the Gillespie County Fair Parade.The fairgrounds open at 1 pm for more exhibits and delicious food. The Gillespie County Fair Queen will be crowned at 7 pm, followed by a concert and dance at 8 pm.
The fun continues at 11 am on Saturday and Sunday with FFA and 4-H livestock judging, agricultural and home products exhibits, and antique machinery displays. Stroll over to the fairgrounds racetrack and cast your bets for live pari-mutuel horse racing starting at 1 pm. Take your winnings and test your luck on the midway while the kids enjoy the carnival rides!
Hours and Admission
Open times and admission prices vary throughout the weekend. Children under 5 years old always get in for free. For detailed information, visit the Gillespie County Fair Association.
Thursday: Gates open at 5 pm with FREE admission (not including carnival and midway).
Friday: Gates open at 1 pm. Adults 13 and older get in for $10, and children 6-12 years old for $5. Admission for adults increases to $15 starting at 6 pm. Adult all-day passes are available for $15.
Saturday & Sunday: Gates open at 11 am. Adults 13 and older get in for $10, and children 6-12 years old for $5. Admission for adults increases to $20 starting at 6pm Adult all-day passes are available for $20.
