Gästehaus Schmidt Pet Policy

Some, but not all, of Gästehaus Schmidt’s properties are pet-friendly. Most charge a nightly fee for pets. If the owner informs us there is a pet on the property, and we have not been informed, we will charge the credit card on file. At some properties, pet owners may not leave their pets unattended at any time unless crated/caged. All pets must be in a crate/cage or under owner control if housekeeping or maintenance assistance is required at any time during the stay. For homes that do not take pets, we will charge $200 to the card on file.

As a guest of a pet-friendly house who wishes to have my house-trained pet stay, I agree to the following:

• All guests with pets must have a valid credit card on file with Gästehaus Schmidt.
• I understand and approve a non-refundable charge per pet, per day. Pet charges and requirements vary by property and are set by the owner of the pet-friendly property.
• I will not allow my pet to lay on furniture or beds.
• I will be responsible for the repair or replacement of any items stained or damaged by my pet above and beyond the non-refundable deposit, up to $800.
• I will be responsible for any injury inflicted upon any employee or guest by my pet.
• I will be responsible for picking up after my pet in and around the property area.
• I understand that Gästehaus Schmidt or the owners or employees of the pet-friendly property may remove my pet from the property at my expense if my pet is left unattended and I will be required to immediately vacate the premises without a refund.
• I understand that there may not be a secure backyard and thus I will keep a leash on my pet at all times outside of the property or keep my pet under voice control if playing in the yard off-leash.
• Neither Gästehaus Schmidt nor the owners or its employees of the pet-friendly property shall be responsible for the safety or well-being of my pet.
• Noise/Disruptive Complaints – excessive barking or other disruptive noises to neighbors will not be tolerated. Upon receipt of two (2) noise or disruptive complaints, I will be asked to immediately vacate the property without a refund.
• I understand that the owners will inspect the property during my stay and upon my departure and assess the property for any damages. Charges may be posted following check-out.
• I indemnify Gästehaus Schmidt, owners and staff of pet-friendly properties to include attorney fees, judgments, settlements, and/or claims relating to personal injury and property damage to any owners, guests, invitees, licensees and/or directors, officers, contractors, employees and agents of pet-friendly properties.
• By making a reservation with pets, I agree to these terms and conditions.
