Inwood Estates is a boutique winery committed to the highest quality, crafting artisan wines made from all Texas grapes. It planted its first vineyards in 1981 with an emphasis on the Texas “terroir” & Spanish grape varieties. The results ended with Palomino, a Spanish grape traditionally made into sherry, a Chardonnay vineyard in Dallas County & another vineyard 450 miles West of Dallas, where the Tempranillo is grown at a 4000 foot elevation. The first winery was established in urban Dallas in 2005 & the first vintages were released in August 2006. Inwood Estates wines have won international notoriety & can be found in over 200 of the tops restaurants in Texas. In 2009, proprietor Dan Gatlin became the winemaker for The Vineyard at Florence, establishing a second winery & tasting room & creating a new era in winemaking for hybrid varieties & Cabernet Sauvignon under the label of The Vineyard at Florence.
